This old pioneer cabin was one of the first to be built in Tooele. It was built on Main Street in 1855 by Zachariah Edwards. Two Gowans families, Andrew and Ann, and Hugh and Betsy, completed the home in 1856 and lived there together for a few months. It later served as home for other families and businesses in Tooele. It was moved to its present location beside the Old Pioneer City Hall in 1975.
