The old Tooele County Courthouse was ready for occupancy in 1899. It was built on a space known as the County Poor House Lot. The ornamental iron fence that ran across the front of the building that you see in the picture stood for many years. In 1905 beautiful pine trees and other landscaping were planted. This attractive old building served the county for many years. It was replaced with a new courthouse at the same location in 1973.
