Your application MUST be completed at the time you submit it.  Unless your application is complete, it will not be placed on an agenda.  Department staff can not guarantee that an application will be placed upon a certain agenda until it is a complete application.

A minor subdivision is a division of land into no more than four lots, and is not a phase or continuation of an earlier subdivision.  A minor subdivision shall not:

  • include the construction and dedication of any new infrastructure.
  • be a part or a phase of a larger subdivision;
  • be allowed further division of land within three years from final approval;
  • include commercial or industrial uses; and
  • all lots shall front on a county road or an approved private road

A standard subdivision is a division of land into no more than fourteen lots.  It may be phased for development.  Infrastructure and public facilities may be dedicated.  In order to be placed on the agenda, a complete application MUST be submitted no later than 21 days before the scheduled planning commission meeting.

Do not submit this application until your concept/design preliminary plat and infrastructure design and engineering drawings have been approved. Your complete final plat application must be submitted no later than 14 days before the scheduled planning commission meeting.

A major subdivision is a division of land into 15 to no more than 99 lots.  A major subdivision shall be phased for development.  Infrastructure and public facilities may be dedicated.  A major subdivision shall be filed on a plat drawn and stamped by a licensed surveyor.  Your complete concept application must be submitted no later than 14 days before the scheduled planning commission meeting.

Do not submit the following application until your concept stage plan has been approved. In order to be placed on an agenda, a complete application must be submitted not later than 21 days before the scheduled planning commission meeting.
