2023 Schedule of Elections
Candidate Filing Deadlines
Each respective special district or municipal Clerk/Recorder handles the election filings for all candidates. Please contact each local jurisdiction to locate additional election information.
- June 1-7, 2023 – Candidate Filing Begins. Contact each respective jurisdiction for additional information on local filings.
- Special Districts filing information – Varies by jurisdiction. See notices above for details.
- June 7 – Candidate Filing Closes at 5pm
- Candidate Financial Disclosures Candidates who withdraw after the filing deadline will be required to submit a financial disclosure no later than 30 days after withdrawing.
Primary Election
- TBD – Last Day to Withdraw Candidacy to be Removed from the Ballot
- June 30 – UOCAVA Ballots Mailed To request a ballot under UOCAVA, click here.
- July 20 – Logic and Accuracy Testing, 10am Clerk’s Office A public test and demonstration of the elections equipment prior to counting official ballots.
- July 25 – Vote-by-Mail Ballots Mailed If you do not receive your ballot by July 31, please contact our office at 435-843-3140
- TBA – In-Office Early Voting Period (if applicable) Aug 1-11 – Varies by jurisdiction
- Aug 4 – Voter Registration Deadline To update your voter registration, click here.
- Aug 8 – Candidate Financial Disclosure Deadline
- Aug 8 – Last Day to Request a Replacement Ballot To request a replacement ballot, contact our office at elections@tooeleco.org or 435-843-3140.
- August 14 – Postmark Deadline To avoid missing the postmark deadline, you can return your ballot to any of the ballot drop boxes.
- August 15 – Election Day Polling locations and ballot drop boxes will be open until 8pm.
- TBA – 10am Election Audit A public audit will be performed of the signatures and ballots cast.
- Varies by Jurisdiction – Board of Canvassers Meeting Board of Canvassers will certify the election results. Election results are preliminary until they are certified. Each local jurisdiction will canvass their own results. See local jurisdiction calendars for dates.
- Varies by jurisdiction – Signature Affidavit Cure Deadline Must be submitted by 5pm 3 days prior to the Board of Canvass meeting, see local jurisdiction calendars for dates

General Election
